A Credit to the Club

KuH under 10 girls team put in another sterling performance to win all 4 matches played on Sunday 11th December.

The first match against Wakefield C was rather a struggle with the girls making a slow start. With the help of Maggi making an excellent save and Scarlet scoring 2 goals, they managed a 2 – 1 win.

Thirsk were the next team and, even though they had come down from a higher division, we managed a 2 – 0 win with goals from Scarlet and Daisy.

We were on a roll now and beat Sheffield B 6 – 0. The goal scorers were Scarlet 3, Amelie 2 and Betsy 1.

There was only Ben Rhydding C to face and, after a slow start, managed a 5 – 0 win. These goals were scored by Scarlet 2, Betsy 2 and Jessica 1.

It was a pity that Maggi did not get much play but, as we rise up the table, she will start to get much more action I am sure.

The defence of Eva, Jessica and Amelie were so sound that it enabled the other players to have the confidence to go forward. The mid-field was sound in the hands of Daisy, Xanthe, Betsy enabling Scarlet to do her fantastic runs.

For being one of the main-stays of the defence but managing to score 2 goals when playing up front for half a match and scoring two goals, the player of the session was Amelie Spencer.

Thanks must go to all the parents for their help and support but special thanks to Harvey Chatfield and Di Kirby for umpiring the games.
